Concept Project

Morgen café on a Berlin street corner at dawn, wet pavement, one lit window

The brief

Morgen is a café I invented, opening in Berlin. The brief I gave it: do not look beige.

The category default is warm light, ceramic cups and a plant — instantly legible and instantly forgettable.

The idea

I built the channel around the people and the hours instead of the interior. Morning regulars, the 7am bread delivery, the last table at closing.

A café is a routine before it’s a room, and routine is far more filmable than furniture.

Opening week

I planned seven days and seven formats — a soft-open invite, a staff introduction, the menu shot as objects, and a Reel cut to the sound of the room rather than a trending track.

Nothing announces itself as an advertisement, which is the point.

Baker’s hands moving sourdough loaves onto a rack at the back of the café
A lone customer at the window table seen from the street through glass
Close detail of steel portafilters and chrome espresso machine parts
A hand setting an espresso down on the long steel service counter
